Build a more senior engineering team. Not a more expensive one.
Alberon connects US companies with carefully selected Brazilian engineers to add seniority, delivery capacity, and better engineering leverage.
Why Alberon
The operating advantage of Brazil. Without building the operation.
Uber, Google, Amazon, and other global technology companies build engineering teams in Brazil for good reason. The country combines a deep pool of experienced technical talent, substantial overlap with US working hours, and significantly lower engineering costs than the US market.
Alberon gives US companies access to those advantages—without requiring them to build and operate a Brazilian entity of their own.
Engineering-led selection
Experienced engineers, with lower cost, evaluated for your product, systems, and delivery needs.
US–Brazil operating structure
Alberon coordinates contracting, payments, onboarding, and ongoing administration.
Team integration
Engineers integrate into your team and contribute within closely aligned working hours.
More capability and delivery value from each dollar invested.
ENGINEERING-LED EVALUATION
We understand what strong engineering looks like.
Alberon’s founder has spent years building and leading engineering teams across startups, fintech companies, and global technology companies—including Uber.

That hands-on experience spans distributed systems, high-availability applications, backend and cloud platforms, and technical leadership. It shapes how we define each role and assess engineering ability in practice.
We look beyond technologies and credentials to evaluate technical depth, product judgment, communication, and the ability to contribute within your organization.
- TECHNICAL DEPTH
- PRODUCT JUDGMENT
- OPERATING MATURITY
The goal isn’t a candidate who interviews well. It’s an engineer who contributes.
Why Alberon
Built for the stage your company is in.
Start a team, expand delivery, or add focused technical depth.
Building the first engineering team
Build a senior, integrated team that can take ownership and move the product forward—within a cost structure your company can sustain.
Scaling an engineering organization
Increase delivery capacity while maintaining control over costs and team composition.
Adding senior expertise
Add senior backend, cloud, platform, or systems expertise when the work demands it.
Filling difficult technical roles
Expand beyond your local talent market without compromising your technical standards.
Improving the cost structure
Get more seniority and delivery capacity from your engineering budget—without treating talent as a commodity.
How it works
From engineering need to integrated teammate.
Alberon coordinates the cross-border operating layer around the engineer, so your team stays focused on product, technical direction, and delivery.

Why Brazil
A major engineering market. Better economics. A workday that overlaps yours.
Brazil combines one of the world’s largest developer communities with significantly lower costs than comparable US hiring—and enough working-hour overlap for engineers to operate as part of your team.
A deep, proven talent market
Brazil has 6.9 million developers on GitHub—the fourth-largest developer community in the world—and a technology ecosystem shaped by fintech, payments, commerce, cloud, and high-scale consumer products.
More seniority per dollar
Market and currency differences allow the same engineering budget to support greater seniority and delivery capacity than comparable US hiring.
Real-time collaboration
Brasília is only one to two hours ahead of Eastern Time, so planning, standups, pairing, reviews, and incident response can happen live—not through overnight handoffs.
Questions worth answering upfront.
How is Alberon different from a recruiting agency or an outsourced development company?
Alberon combines engineering-led selection with the operating structure required to engage Brazilian engineers. The engineer works directly within your product and engineering organization—not through a separate outsourced delivery team—while Alberon coordinates agreements, payments, onboarding, and ongoing administration.
How much does an engagement cost?
Depending on the role and seniority, engaging an engineer through Alberon can cost up to 50% less than hiring a comparable engineer in the US. The objective is not simply to reduce costs, but to give the same engineering budget access to greater seniority and delivery capacity.
How are engineers evaluated, and who makes the final decision?
We define the role with your team and evaluate candidates against the work they will actually perform. Our engineering-led assessment considers technical depth, product judgment, communication, and operating maturity. Alberon presents qualified candidates; your team interviews them and makes the final decision.
Do we need to establish a company or payroll operation in Brazil?
No. Your company contracts with Alberon, and Alberon manages a separate agreement with the engineer. We coordinate engagement documentation, payments, and recurring administration without requiring you to establish a Brazilian entity or local payroll operation.
Will the engineer work as part of our team?
Yes. The engineer joins your tools, workflows, meetings, and delivery priorities as an integrated member of your organization. Working schedules are agreed upfront, with enough overlap for planning, standups, pairing, reviews, and other real-time collaboration.
What happens if the engineer is not the right fit?
Engagements are structured in three-month terms, with the option to renew every quarter. If the fit is not right, you are not locked into a long-term arrangement. Alberon will coordinate the transition and work with you to find a replacement as quickly as possible.
How are confidentiality, intellectual property, and security handled?
Confidentiality, intellectual-property ownership, data access, and security expectations are addressed as part of the engagement documentation. Engineers sign the applicable agreements before receiving access, while your company retains control over its systems, permissions, and internal security requirements.
Does Alberon remain involved after the engineer starts?
Yes. Alberon continues to manage payment administration, support working check-ins, and coordinate changes throughout the engagement. Your team remains responsible for product direction, technical priorities, and day-to-day performance feedback.
